Carolyn’s psychological background includes a Masters Degree in psychology, plus extensive trainings in EMDR, CBT, NLP, Internal Family Systems, Hakomi, and much more. Her CDs marry the ease and effectiveness of the Hemi-Sync audio technology with clinically effective verbal guidance. Her best-selling books are an adventure into self-discovery.

Carolyn has been a counselor since 1987, when she received her Master of Arts degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, graduating with the highest honors. She has also received extensive additional training in cognitive therapy and EMDR, although she draws from multiple modalities.

Carolyn’s spiritual life has also been an important part of her life, and, influenced by her multi-cultural upbringing, she has immersed herself in the study of various religious traditions, and her ecumenical spiritual background includes a solid foundation in Christianity, plus Yoga and Vedanta, Reiki, Native American approaches (as a Sundancer), and the loving wisdom of Meher Baba. She encourages her clients to bring their personal spiritual beliefs, whatever they might be, into their counseling experienced.

In early 2025, as part of her own personal explorations into consciousness through the QHHT hypnosis work of Dolores Cannon,, Carolyn connected with two groups from higher dimensions called the Council and the Travelers (affectionately called the Peeps).
